Description
The thought of graduating high school and entering the “real-world” can be exciting for students! It can also be overwhelming, intimidating, and many other anxious emotions.
As a high school special education teacher, I know and understand the importance of preparing my students for life after high school. Introducing and preparing my students for “real-world” experiences they will encounter once they leave me is high on my priority list.
The Rental Process resource is a guide to not only introduce all that is involved in the rental process to students, but also to give students practice on completing an application and reading through a lease agreement. It can be a very intimidating process. This resource gives students that “real-world” experience, but with the support from their teacher – to help them navigate through it. Once completed, it is also the perfect guide for students to refer to once they enter the real-world.
Because the rental process can vary SO much (state to state, landlord to landlord, etc.), I have created it as broad as I could to use in any classroom. The rental application and lease agreement I created are not legal documents. They are for classroom use only, to be used with this resource.
