Description
I’m always looking for new ways to check for student understanding. “My Learning Forecast” desk tags are my favorite yet! They were created large enough, so that when taped to the students’ desk, I can easily check for their understanding while walking around the classroom.
I laminate all of my desk tags and “X”s and fasten velcro to both. Students rate their confidence level in the lesson presented by fastening an “X” in the box that best fits their “forecast.” Two different sets of forecast options are included, as well as a black and white set. You will also be receiving a sheet of colored and black & white “X”s. This is a PDF download.
Options for use:
〉Tape the desk tags to students’ desks. Place velcro fasteners in the boxes and on the back of each “X.” Students can easily rate their learning by fastening the “X” to the box that best describes their feelings on the lesson.
〉Tape the desk tags to students’ desks and have them rate their learning by checking the box with a dry erase marker. If the desk tag is laminated, the “X” will wipe off.
〉Use them as exit tickets. Hand them out to students after the lesson is complete. Students can use a pencil to mark an “X” to rate their feelings on the lesson. They can write their names on the back and hand them back in to you.
