Description
Whether I am teaching remotely or teaching in my classroom, my learning support students’ transition skills and goals still need to be addressed and monitored, in accordance with their IEPs. I compiled together a few – easy to complete independently – transition activities for my students to work on.
There are 9 career exploration activities, 9 education and training activities, and 9 independent living activities included. All activities were created with the intention of being completed independently by the students. They are not incredibly time consuming, difficult tasks.
Options for student use include:
Google Classroom
– an interactive Google Slide choice board with 9 activities for Career Exploration
– an interactive Google Slide choice board with 9 activities for Education and Training
– an interactive Google Slide choice board with 9 activities for Independent Living
– a detailed, PDF instruction sheet to help students maneuver the choice boards
Packet:
*These activities vary slightly from the interactive choice boards – I kept the students without access to internet in mind.
– a Career Exploration choice board and 9 actives (PDF, print & go)
– an Education and Training choice board and 9 activities (PDF, print & go)
– an Independent Living choice board and 9 activities (PDF, print & go)
How I use my Transition Choice Boards:
I upload/send one Transition Choice Board to my students a week. I ask my students to complete 3 squares. I do not grade their work. However, you can assign more squares and use this as a grade. You know your students best. I use this resource to help with each student’s transition tracking.
