Description
In my high school special education classroom, I’m always trying to come up with new ways to show students how skills being taught in the classroom can also be applied to life after graduation.
Jobs listed in advertisements are organized in alphabetical order. Being able to alphabetize is an important transition skill to teach. Along with being in alphabetical order, job advertisements can often be confusing to read. They can include unfamiliar words and abbreviations. Helping students become familiar with some of these common words and abbreviations will greatly help them when planning to prepare for a job.
I created 25 easy to read, task cards for students to practice to practice these skills. These task cards are perfect for students to complete independently, or to complete together as a class.
What’s All Included:
– 25 different task cards (4 task cards per page)
– 1 Answer Sheet
– 1 Answer Key
– Link to the 25 task cards on Google Slides
