Description
In my high school special education classroom, I’m always trying to come up with new ways to show how important skills being taught can also be applied to life after graduation.
Jobs listed in advertisements are organized in alphabetical order. Being able to alphabetize is an important transition skill to teach. Along with being in alphabetical order, job advertisements can often be confusing to read. They can include unfamiliar words and abbreviations. Helping students become familiar with some of these common words and abbreviations will greatly help them when planning to prepare for a job.
I created 25 easy to read, BOOM Cards™ for students to practice these skills. BOOM Cards™ are easy to assign to virtual learners, they’re engaging, AND they are self checking.
What’s All Included:
– 1 PDF with the link to the 25 Boom Cards™
– 25 different Boom Cards™

To use Boom Cards, you must be connected to the Internet. Boom Cards play on modern browsers (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and Edge). Apps are available for modern Android, iPads, iPhones, and Kindle Fires. For security and privacy, adults must have a Boom Learning account to use and assign Boom Cards. You will be able to assign the Boom Cards you are buying with “Fast Pins,” (a form of play that gives instant feedback to students for self-grading Boom Cards). For assignment options that report student progress back to you, you will need to purchase a premium account. If you are new to Boom Learning, you will be offered a free trial of our premium account.
