In my high school special education classroom, I’m always trying to come up with new ways to show how important skills being taught in school can also be applied to life after graduation. Especially during virtual learning.
Being able to answer problems that involve fractions, decimals, and percents is an important math skill. I decided to come up with vocation scenarios for my students to read, to reinforce the importance of these skill.
I created 25 easy to read, BOOM Cards™ for students to practice their basic math skills – in “real world” vocation scenarios. BOOM Cards™ are easy to assign to virtual learners, they’re engaging, AND they are self checking.
