Description
Planning for an entire unit in a special education classroom sounds crazy, right?! Our plans don’t always go as planned by each week, let alone for an entire unit. It’s not possible… or so I thought.
This year I’ve began planning units/lessons in advance as a special education teacher! I can’t tell you how good it feels. I’m doing it all with the help of these these simple templates. The templates allow for me to stay on track, and even stay organized on those “off days,” where I’ll probably need to re-visit the lesson the next day.
This resource consists of scope & sequence planning templates, as well as daily lesson templates to keep you organized. If your lessons/unit goes over your initial days planned – THAT’S OKAY. That’s special education. We adapt.
With these templates you can plan your units with two lessons per page, or with five lesson per page. Lesson numbers are pre-filled, allowing you to plan from “Lesson 1” to “Lesson 20” if your unit goes that far. COMPLETELY editable templates are also available, if you choose to not use mine.
The Scope & Sequence planning pages help you keep track of:
– the class/subject
– the unit name
– total days the unit is planned for
– each lesson’s title
– standard(s)
– objectives/targets
– total days for each lesson
– total days the lesson exceeded
– materials used
– any notes from the lesson
The Daily Lesson Templates help you stay on track with:
– the class/
– the lesson/activity planned to be taught for those days/that day
– how work was completed (independently, partner, groups, centers)
– materials used
– student accommodations (if any)
– homework assigned
– if all work was completed
– if more time was needed
– if you can move on
– if you can re-teach
– if you need to provide extra practice to any student
– a list of your roster to help with attendance per lesson
All templates were designed in a basic format, allowing for them to be used alone or with any binder/planner you might already have. They also won’t drain your ink!
Scope & Sequence Lesson Plan Templates
