Description

My learning support students, at times, get overwhelmed with checklists. More so when given a writing assignment that involves more than one or two paragraphs.

However, I still want to make my students accountable for knowing what to check for, within their writing, before submitting their final copy. Especially as they get older and their work requires citations.

Writer’s Checklist Posters were designed to help me with just this problem. Posters can be displayed in my classroom all at once, or I can choose which posters I feel I need to display most. For instance, my students do very well with recognizing misspelled words (mostly because when typed spell check takes over), but they struggle with typing fast and just leaving out words. I would display the Missing Words poster in my classroom, to hone in on that skill to check for in their writing.

There are even times I just want to re-introduce a topic, such as Run-on Sentences. I would display this poster in my classroom as a reminder.

These vibrant posters aren’t for just your classroom walls, these will also make a wonderful addition to a student’s binder. Simply insert the poster(s,) the student needs to focus most on, right into their binder.

Included:

You will be receiving 4 sets of 5 posters/set, as a PDF secured document.

Each poster comes with what needs to be checked, at least one right/wrong example of use, and a brief explanation. PLEASE SEE THE PREVIEW.
